Rugs From Persia
The rugs of Iran ( Persia ) are synonymous with hand knotted carpets. Today the 'typical' 'reds and blues' are not as greatly sought after, creating a marketplace of well made rugs at very affordable prices. It is not impossible to get a large 12′ × 9′ carpet for £100, though a good quality rug with a subtle palette of colours is a different proposition and in some cases you can expect to pay thousands.
